Ready to buy a new garden hose? We’ve done the research and compiled several different styles of hoses for you to show you the best choices for each category. There’s something here for every yard or garden situation. We’ll cover the best of the best in rubber, metal, expandable, potable, durable, and lightweight garden hoses.

Flexzilla Garden Hose

Market leader Flexzilla may be the hose for you if you’re looking for an all-around quality hose. Not only is it durable, but it claims to be leak-free and kink-free. Made from flexible hybrid polymer, the hose will lay flat and hold no memory from coiling. Lastly, it doesn’t contain lead, which makes it a potable water hose, too!

Gilmour Rubber Garden Hose

Heavy-duty and durable even in extreme temperatures, Gilmour’s commercial-grade rubber hose may be the one for you if you need it to handle up to 180 degrees!

Bionic Steel Stainless Garden Hose

Ultra-light and quite durable, the Bionic steel hose has quite a few perks. Constructed from a commercial-grade 304 stainless steel that is extremely durable, doesn’t rust, is resistant to leaks, punctures and extended drags over tough surfaces. Its inner diameter is 5/8” so it will have slightly lower water output at one time than many other hoses, but should work perfectly well for general gardening needs.

Aterod Expandable Garden Hose

What weighs 4.1 lbs and has over a thousand amazing reviews on Amazon? That would be your new expandable Aterod garden hose! At about 4 lbs, it holds the title for featherweight champion on this list. Its biggest perks include compact storage and lightweight maneuverability. However, with the material that makes it so light, it also requires a touch more care than your typical throw-it-and-go hoses to keep it in quality condition. You’ll want to drain it of water after each use and store it out of the sun.

When buying a hose, it’s important to consider what purpose it will serve. The four hoses we’ve highlighted each have their own perks you’ll want to weigh against what you’ll be using it for. Happy hose hunting!
